emplette is built with privacy in mind. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

Our Commitment

emplette collects no personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not operate any server that receives or stores your information.

Data Storage

On Your Device

Your shopping list is stored locally on your device. The app works fully offline.

iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, your list syncs across your own devices through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), in your private iCloud database. This data is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. It is tied to your Apple Account and is not accessible to us. We never see your list.

Sharing a List

If you choose to share a list, emplette uses Apple's iCloud sharing to let another person view and edit that list. The shared list lives in iCloud and is exchanged between you and the people you share it with through Apple. We do not receive, store, or process any of it.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No account or sign-up
• No name, email, or contact information
• No analytics, usage tracking, or advertising identifiers
• No location data
• No third-party trackers or SDKs

How to Delete Your Data

Delete items directly in the app. To remove everything, delete the app from your device; to also remove the synced copy, sign in to iCloud and delete emplette's data from your iCloud storage in Settings.

Children's Privacy

emplette does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
